NLP

The first round of the NBA Playoffs is almost in the book, and some teams have already joined those who did not advance home on the couch to enjoy the postseason with the rest of us. The hosts will focus on those teams, and see what is next for the Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks and Detroit Pistons.

Also, there are series still in the air, and the hosts will make what they can on those competitive matchups. And oh yeah, STEPH CURRY AND CHRIS PAUL ARE HURT.

No Look Pass Podcast (Episode 25): The Grit N’ Grind Grizzlies Ressurection/Awards Show

Tuesday, April 5th, 2016

NLP

With injuries to two of their key players in Marc Gasol and Mike Conley, things are looking grim for the Memphis Grizzlies. Having lost their last six games, they continue to fight for a playoff spot in the suddenly competitive Western Conference. However, it is not all bad in Memphis, at least in the hosts point of view, as a version of their grit n' grind playing style seems to have resurfaced. When did Jordan Farmar start living again? How likely is a Tony Allen/Lance Stephenson locker room showdown? Are the Grizzlies in rebuild mode?

Also, the hosts will make some predictions for regular season awards, including MVP, where one of the hosts may not pick Steph Curry (that's not actually true), Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Man of the Year, and Coach of the Year.

NLP

As the NBA continues to transition to the "pace and space" strategy, the NLP Podcast wants to remember one of their favorite eras of basketball, the Grit N' Grind Memphis Grizzlies. With Zach Randolph and Tony Allen now coming off the bench, where do the Grizzlies stand in the suddenly weaker Western Conference?

Along with that, the hosts will have a chance to replace one of their preseason playoff picks, and will discuss what is going wrong with the Phoenix Suns.
